The Norwegian pianist Joachim Knoph (b. 1979) has in recent years performed as soloist on CD with The Norwegian Radio Orchestra conducted by Ari Rasilainen, and participated in festivals such as Gotland Chamber Music festival, the “Hardingtonar” festival in Nordheimsund and at concerts at Edvard Grieg´s home Troldhaugen in Bergen.

He has toured China for Grieg ´07, and participated at numerous other concerts in Norway and abroad, including France, Germany, England, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates.

Knoph has received a large number of prizes and scholarships, including the YAMAHA prize and the Flagstad and Rönning scholarships.

Joachim Knoph studied under the guidance of Jiri Hlinka, Einar Steen-Nøkleberg and Nelson Delle- Vigne Fabbri, and played his diploma concert in 2004, receiving the highest possible degree.

He is also active as a composer.
